The Earlysville Turkey Trot 5K & Kids 1/2 Mile Run takes place at 600 Earlysville Forest Dr., Earlysville, VA 22936 just 15 Minutes Northwest of Charlottesville, VA. This is located at the 3-way intersection of Earlysville Rd, Reas Ford Rd., and Earlysville Forest Dr.

RACE DAY: Thursday, November 28, 2013

START TIME: 8:30 AM - FREE Kid's 1/2 Mile Race

                      9:00 AM - 5k Turkey Trot Race

5K COURSE 

The course is slightly downhill and fast the first half. It then becomes more challenging with rolling hills through the scenic and friendly neighborhood of Earlysville Forest.

1/2 MILE KIDS RUN COURSE

The FREE 1/2 Mile Kids run will start on Earlysville Forest Dr. at the Finish line of the 5k race. The Kids will run 1/4 mile out and 1/4 mile back. There will be race numbers for the kids this year. Please have them at the starting line by 8:20AM. 

WALKERS WELCOME!!!

The Earlysville 5k Turkey Trot welcomes and encourages walkers. Enjoy a beautiful scenic walk through the small town of Earlysville and one of it's runner friendly neighborhoods on Thanksgiving morning. All walkers and runners must be able to complete the 3.1 miles by 10:15 AM. Please refrain from bringing any skateboards, inline or roller skates, or bicycles on the race course. Walkers, Baby strollers and Baby joggers will be allowed to race from the back of the pack. We are very sorry to say that NO Dogs will be allowed on the race premises or course.

RACE BENEFICIARY

The Earlysville 5k Turkey Trot and FREE 1/2 Mile Kids Run benefits the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Please help this worthy cause by bringing either a canned good of tuna fish or peanut butter to packet pickup. These items are the most in need with even more emphasis on peanut butter this year. Cash donations to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank are also very helpful. As little as $1.00 will provide 4 meals. Donate $10-$100 and supply 40-400 meals! 2012 Earlysville 5k Turkey Trot winner Patrick Reaves repeated his winning streak two years in a row with a 2012 winning time of 16:38. Congratulations to Patrick and youngster Elizabeth Salem winning the women’s overall in 22:47!
